BIO 

 

DJ Donnie D Mash up Video dj & MC began his musical career near the heart of Michigan at the age of 15 with the drive and soul of an entertainer. Years of experience in the music industry has made him Mid- Michigan’s primary performer at a variety of venues. His extensive experiences in several genres of music makes him unbiased in song selection, differentiating him from popular DJ’s today. As opposed to other DJ’s, Donnie D also creates his music raw for a mind-blowing, live performance. Not only does he connect with the crowd through music choice, Donnie D possesses a strong microphone presence without overtaking the event. Donnie D holds the skill of versatility and embraces the crowd’s vibe for song choice; integrating the art of a DJ, MC, entertainer, and live performer.

 

Donnie D began his career at the age of fifteen mixing music at school dances and nightclubs, later entering the country and rock scene by playing for small bar crowds,pool parties boat parties, large venues, Tailgates, and even stadiums. In 2004 he began Opeing up for big artists such as Uncle Kracker, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, SOMO, Puddle of Mud, Buckcherry, LMFAO and primarily traveled with Pop Evil as a touring DJ within the band and as an opening act. Donnie D’s successful collaboration with Pop Evil allowed him to play all over the US;  From 2004 to 2009 Donnie D also played in Florida at various collegiate Spring Break venues; therefore, making his experience with crowds range from college students, edm partiers, rock lovers, country fanatics, wedding goers, young kids, and older crowds.

 

His musical stages from a Hip-Hop DJ, cowboy, and rockstar have combined with his music in making one of Mid- Michigan’s Top DJs. Donnie D has headlined various residencies; Dublin Square, The Dollar, The Riv, Ricks, Harper’s, Wayside Central, Club Rush, Harem, The Firm, Excel, Tonic, Have a Nice Day Café, Spinnaker, LaVela etc. His collaboration with local manager, Tom Mayes of Pure Promotions and Pure Entertainment, has given him solid backing in his capabilities within the industry allowing for further growth in his career.

 

Although Donnie D has made Mid-Michigan his own personal playground and is a true Michigan die-hard, he isn’t containing his music to the mitten. Donnie D envisions himself entertaining larger venues and establishing himself in larger cities such as Nashville, Las Vegas, Miami, etc. His unbiased, music allows him to dominate the scene for any crowd ranging from A-list venues, Major Night clubs, pool parties, tailgates, casinos, festivals, tours, and more. Donnie D stands out in the DJ, MC, and entertainment industry because he truly loves to entertain and has chosen this as a career not just a hobby making his focus solely being a top notch entertainer.
